Exciting New Programme for 2024/2025 at Dramatastic!

Dear Parents, Current Pupils and New Members,

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new programme for the 2024/2025 year at Dramatastic! Our team has undergone extensive training to refresh and enhance our offerings and we can't wait to share all the exciting new elements we have in store for you.

This year, we’re bringing a dynamic blend of musical theatre and drama classes, infused with fresh energy and professional expertise. Your children will have the opportunity to work with professional puppeteers, singers, art and dance teachers. Our love for the West End, Disney and Broadway will shine through as we bring these iconic influences to the children of Galway city and county.

What's New?

Professional Expertise: We've brought in experts from various creative fields, including puppetry, singing, and dance, to enrich our classes and provide a truly immersive experience.
Creative Arts Integration: We’re expanding beyond the stage! Children interested in the behind-the-scenes aspects of performing will also have the chance to explore creative arts, such as set design and costume creation.
Themed Terms: As always, we will be working on exciting themes for both terms. We’re keeping them under wraps for now, but rest assured, they’ll be full of creativity and fun!
End-of-Term Show: This year, we are introducing a special parents and family show on the final day before the Christmas holidays. It’s a chance for our talented students to showcase everything they’ve learned in a spectacular performance!

Class Structure & Groups

All classes will run simultaneously, with children grouped by age: Theatre Tots (ages 4-6), Dramatastic Dynamos (ages 6-8),  Starlight Performers (ages 9-13) Every child will enjoy a 1 hour and 15-minute session filled with creative fun and learning. Class Locations & Schedule Dramatastic will be offering classes at the following locations: Clarin College, Athenry – Mondays, 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM (Beginning September 16th-6 week term ending on October 21st) Arus Bothar na Tra, Salthill – Wednesdays, 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM (Beginning September 18th-6 week term ending on October 23rd) Claregalway Educate Together NS – Thursdays, 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM (Beginning September 19th-6 week term ending on October 24th) Castlegar GAA Complex – Fridays, 3:30 PM to 4:45 PM (Beginning September 20th-6 week term ending on October 25th)

We’re proud to say that despite adding all these fantastic new features, we have not increased our fees, unlike many of our competitors. We believe in making top-quality theatre education accessible to all! Pay a deposit of €25 per child now to hold your place. Balance due on 1st class of term.

Theatre Tots (Ages 4-6)

At Dramatastic, our Theatre Tots will embark on a magical journey into the world of theatre and imagination! Through playful activities, these little stars will explore the basics of drama, music, and movement in a fun and supportive environment. Each week, they'll engage in creative storytelling, singing, and simple choreography designed to boost their confidence and creativity. Whether they’re acting out their favorite stories or learning new songs, Theatre Tots is all about sparking a lifelong love of performing arts in our youngest performers!

Dramatastic Dynamos (Ages 6-8)

Our Dramatastic Dynamos are full of energy and creativity, and this program is designed to harness that spirit! In these sessions, children will dive deeper into the world of drama, musical theatre, and dance. They'll work on developing their acting skills through fun improvisation games, character exploration, and group scenes. Singing and dancing are key parts of the experience, with catchy songs and dynamic choreography that will have them moving and grooving. Dramatastic Dynamos is all about building confidence, teamwork, and performance skills while having a blast on stage!

Starlight Performers (Ages 9-13)

Our Starlight Performers program is perfect for young talents ready to shine! Designed for ages 9 to 13, this class takes a deeper dive into the art of theatre, musical performance, and creative expression. Students will work on honing their acting abilities with more complex scenes and character development, while also learning advanced vocal techniques and dance routines. They'll explore every aspect of a production, from acting and singing to choreography, with opportunities to collaborate on exciting group projects. Starlight Performers is all about refining their skills, building stage presence and preparing for show day!
